Design & Delivery
As the design and build team, Faction Interiors worked closely with SBR to understand how each part of the business operated and how the new facility could best support both people and processes.
The design focused on creating a workplace where every member of the team felt connected to the wider business, regardless of role or department.
The open-plan office layout encourages collaboration and transparency, creating a shared environment where teams can work together towards common goals. Dedicated collaboration spaces were introduced to provide flexible areas for informal meetings, problem solving, and idea generation.
These spaces feature standing-height tables, acoustic wall treatments, LVT flooring, and striking Crittall-style glazed screens, helping to define zones while maintaining an open and connected feel throughout the office.
The meeting rooms were designed to support both in-person and remote collaboration, incorporating acoustic treatments, conference calling facilities, and glazed partitioning. Each room was finished using a distinct pastel colour palette, helping users easily identify individual spaces while contributing to a calm and welcoming environment.
At the heart of the office sits a large breakout space designed to bring people together. The area provides a relaxed setting for informal meetings, social interaction, team events, and end-of-week downtime. A bespoke kitchen island and custom-built meeting table, which doubles as a table tennis table, create a unique focal point that reflects the company's collaborative and people-focused culture.
Throughout the office, a carefully considered palette of soft, contemporary colours was used alongside SBR's brand blue, creating a modern and inviting workspace without overwhelming the environment. A combination of floor finishes, colour changes, and architectural features helps define different zones while maintaining visual continuity across the space.
The project also included the installation of a new air conditioning system to ensure comfort throughout the office environment.
Beyond the office, the operational areas were designed to support efficient workflows. The warehouse incorporates a mezzanine storage floor and a temperature-controlled storage facility located beneath, ensuring products can be stored within tightly controlled environmental conditions. Dedicated logistics and production spaces provide clear separation between operational activities while maintaining connectivity across the wider facility.
The Result
The completed fit out successfully brings together SBR's office, production, warehouse, and logistics operations into a single, integrated headquarters.
The new environment supports efficient workflows, encourages collaboration, and provides a welcoming workplace that reflects the company's culture and values. By balancing practical operational requirements with thoughtful workplace design, the project delivers a facility that is both highly functional and enjoyable to work in.
